Found Village is seeking a Relationship Coach to build meaningful, long-term relationships with young people ages 13-18. In this role, you will help teens strengthen their sense of belonging, recognize their abilities, develop practical skills, and build a network of trusted adults who will remain in their lives. Salary range: $58k - $73k; depending on knowledge and experience. Benefits: Competitive pay and 401(k) match. Medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and other health-related benefit options. Help teens identify their strengths, interests, values, and goals through thoughtful questions, encouragement, and appropriate accountability. Support youth ages 13-15 in developing communication, emotional-management, problem-solving, confidence, identity, and a sense of belonging. Help younger teens build healthy, lasting relationships with peers, caregivers, mentors, and other supportive adults. Prepare youth ages 16-18 for adulthood by helping them take ownership of their goals, decisions, and future plans. Coach older teens through planning, employment, first-job experiences, job training, post-secondary opportunities, and other important transitions. Help teens build practical life skills, greater independence, and the ability to make informed decisions. Collaborate with caregivers, families, schools, employers, mentors, service providers, and community partners to coordinate support and address barriers early, including access to education, employment, healthcare, housing, transportation, benefits, and community opportunities. Advocate for young people while keeping their voices, preferences, and goals at the center and helping them develop lasting relationships outside Found Village. Communicate proactively, maintain accurate documentation, follow through consistently, and coordinate thoughtful transitions to the next stage of support. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience coaching, mentoring, or working directly with youth in a professional, educational, community-based, or similar setting (required). Experience supporting teens navigating child welfare or other complex service systems is preferred. Community Health Worker (CHW) certification preferred; equivalent applicable work experience will also be considered. Candidates without either must be willing to obtain CHW certification within their first year. Demonstrated ability to build trust over time, including with young people who may be hesitant to engage. Strong communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with caregivers, families, schools, employers, providers, mentors, and community partners. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality. Strong organization, documentation, and follow-through, with the ability to adapt coaching approaches to each young person’s developmental stage and changing needs. Who thrives in this role: You bring genuine love for people and understand the value of counseling, coaching, and approaches that foster insight, agency, and growth. You bring a coaching mindset and help young people develop their own solutions. You are patient and resilient when progress is gradual, combine compassion with accountability, and are comfortable having direct and respectful conversations. You approach behavior with curiosity rather than judgment and bring emotional maturity, humility, adaptability, self-awareness, initiative, and a willingness to seek feedback and adapt your approach. Most importantly, you are committed to empowering young people rather than creating dependence. Why Found Village? Found Village believes every young person has strengths, potential, and a future worth investing in. The organization partners with families, schools, and community systems to surround teens with trusted, lasting relationships. The goal is not for young people to depend on Found Village forever.
