About the role

Katalyst Description: Katalyst is an American technology company focused on d ynamic space operations . We are building a fleet of dual-use multipurpose robotic space vehicles to creat e the future where maneuvering, upgrading, refueling, resupply and exploration are as routine as they are on Earth. Getting to space and overcoming the gravity well is only half the story. What you do there is the future. We are not building the trains. We are building the machines that lay down the tracks. By developing the foundational capabilities that make sustained, responsive operations possible, we enable a new era of space exploration that strengthens national security and ensures freedom of action in an increasingly contested domain. Katalyst Culture: Working at Katalyst is intense, hands-on, and deeply rewarding. You’ll take real ownership and see your work move from concept to operations in an environment where the problems are hard and the impact is real. We value humility, craftsmanship, and doing things the right way, even when it’s harder. You’ll work closely with thoughtful, driven teammates who push each other to do their best. Oh, and we're dog friendly! Manage cloud identity and access (IAM), including multi-factor authentication, conditional access, and role-based access controls. Administer enterprise cloud infrastructure across major public cloud platforms, including network segmentation, virtual machine lifecycle, and support for developer-operated workloads. Operate enterprise endpoint management and remote monitoring/management (RMM) tooling — provisioning, patching, configuration baselines, and compliance reporting. Implement and maintain security controls aligned to NIST SP 800-171 / CMMC Level 2, including phishing-resistant MFA, encryption and key management, logging, and access control. Maintain accurate asset inventory, configuration records, and documentation, including system security plan (SSP) artifacts, network diagrams, and runbooks. Support and develop onboarding and offboarding processes that can adapt during a period of rapid headcount growth. Serve as escalation-tier support for infrastructure, identity, and access issues. Partner with the Director of IT & Security to design, pilot, and deploy new systems supporting multi-site expansion and future secure facilities. What We’re Looking For Required 3+ years of hands-on experience administering Windows Server, enterprise productivity/collaboration platforms, and endpoint management. Working experience with cloud identity/directory services, MFA, and conditional access. Practical knowledge of at least one major public cloud platform, including virtual machine administration and network segmentation. Solid grasp of endpoint hardening, patch management, and access control. Strong ability to convert undocumented knowledge into clear, repeatabl
