About the role
About Million Dollar Baby Co. Million Dollar Baby Co. started in 1990 and is proudly family-owned and operated in Los Angeles. Since then, MDB has grown to 7 distinct brands of children’s furnishings ranging in style, aesthetic, and price, while carrying some of the industry’s most eco-conscious and award-winning designs. We can be found in retailers like Target and Amazon, and specialty retailers like Pottery Barn Kids and Crate & Barrel. Under the Million Dollar Baby Co. parent company are our family of brands: Babyletto, daVinci, Nursery Works, and Namesake. We’re proud to offer the most Greenguard Gold–certified cribs on the market and to use FSC-certified sustainable wood across our brands whenever possible. We’ve also pioneered Styrofoam-free packaging for several of our best-selling collections — an innovation that reduces waste while protecting our products during shipment. At Million Dollar Baby Co., our team members are our #1 priority, and we partner with exceptional partners and retailers around the world who share our core values: • Treat Your Team Like Family — lead with respect, gratitude, empathy, and kindness. • Make an Impact, Drive Results — focus on meaningful work that moves families forward. • Deliver a “Wow” Customer Experience Every Time — every detail matters. • Strive for Continuous Improvement & Learning — keep growing, keep getting better. • Cultivate Quality Conversations — communicate honestly and thoughtfully to build trust. Over the years, our commitment to people, innovation, and a positive workplace culture has earned us five consecutive “Best Place to Work” awards, one of the best workplaces by “Built in LA” , a 4.6 rating on Glassdoor , and 13 years on the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list — recognitions that reflect the heart of who we are and the community we’re proud to build. We’d love to talk to you! About the Role: We're looking for a versatile, detail-driven Photographer & Videographer to create still and motion content across our portfolio of brands — from accessible, mass-market lines to elevated, premium collections. You'll shoot photo and video in our in-house studio, at partner and retailer shoots, and on location in real homes, bringing a strong interiors eye to every frame. Comfortable directing both product and talent, you'll partner closely with creative, brand, social, and e-commerce teams to raise the bar and make our content best in class. What You’ll Be Doing Multi-brand photo & video: Plan and execute photography and video across multiple brands, adapting style, lighting, and composition to each brand's identity and price positioning — from mass to premium. Interiors: Capture lifestyle and room-scene stills and footage that showcase products in beautifully styled, livable spaces, with strong command of architectural lines, natural and mixed light, and scale. Product: Shoot e-commerce, detail, and hero product imagery and video in our in-house studio, ensuring accuracy of color, material, and finish. Video & social content: Concept, shoot, and edit video across formats — brand films, product videos, how-tos, and short-form vertical content for social and paid channels — capturing stills and motion efficiently on the same set. Talent: Direct, photograph, and film models, families, and babies/children with patience and warmth, working safely and efficiently within on-set guidelines. Studio, partner & location: Shoot in our studio, at influencer partner shoots, and on location; scout locations and adapt quickly to changing environments. Pre-production: Create shot lists, contribute to mood boards, creative briefs, and storyboards; partner with directors, stylists, set designers, and producers to bring concepts to life. Post-production & workflow: Manage tethered capture, file organization, culling, retouching, video editing, color grading, and sound, with final delivery to spec and on deadline. Studio stewardship: Maintain the studio, lighting, camera, and video/audio equipment; recommend upgrades and keep inventory organized. Raising the bar: Stay current on photography, video, social, interiors, and design trends; bring ideas that push our visual standards forward.
