About the role
Who is VetEvolve? VetEvolve is a network of veterinary practices built to support the people delivering care and the practices they lead. We combine clinical insight with operational strength to give our teams the support, tools, and structure they need to thrive, without losing what makes each practice unique. We are intentionally focused on growth, not as an end in itself, but as a way to strengthen our practices, expand access to care, and create more opportunities for our teams. Guided by our values: Care First. Better Together. Grow Forward. Own It. We create an environment where veterinary professionals can do their best work, build meaningful careers, and deliver exceptional care. Growth with intention. Care without compromise. Wheaton Animal Hospital in Kensington, Maryland is seeking a Medical Director to lead our established, collaborative veterinary team! We're looking for a passionate veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine, mentoring fellow doctors, and helping shape the future of a well-respected community hospital. Whether you're an experienced Medical Director or a seasoned veterinarian ready to take the next step in your leadership career, we'd love to meet you! For more than 50 years, Wheaton Animal Hospital has been a trusted part of the Kensington and Wheaton communities, providing compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care. Our full-service hospital primarily serves dogs and cats while also offering care for a diverse exotic animal caseload. Exotic animal experience is NOT required! Practice High-Quality Medicine: Our full-service hospital offers preventive care, dentistry, digital radiography, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care. Exotics Are Optional: Interested in exotic animal medicine? Fantastic! Prefer to focus solely on dogs and cats? That's absolutely fine, too! Established Community Reputation: Join a trusted hospital with a loyal client base and decades of meaningful relationships in the community. Make a Lasting Impact: Play an important role in shaping hospital culture, supporting medical excellence, and helping the practice continue to grow.
