About the role
Senior Consultant, NSPB At a glance The Senior Consultant provides deep technical and functional expertise utilizing industry experience, business analysis, best practices, and a pragmatic mindset to facilitate clients' ERP, planning, and financial close requirements. This individual serves as a hands-on Senior Consultant whose day-to-day work blends three areas: NetSuite implementation, NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB), and NetSuite Account Reconciliation (NSAR). The Senior Consultant works closely with Project Managers, Principal Consultants, and Solution Architects to deliver connected, end-to-end customer outcomes across the NetSuite ecosystem while contributing to ongoing practice development initiatives. Your role Serve as a Senior Consultant on NetSuite, NSPB, and NSAR projects of varying size and complexity, often within the same engagement, by translating business requirements and processes into scalable ERP, planning, and account reconciliation designs in a remote or in-person capacity as requested by the client, including but not limited to video or onsite interaction. Participate in solution delivery responsibilities across all project phases, including discovery, design, build, testing, training, and deployment. Collaborate with Principal Consultants and Solution Architects to address technical and solution challenges throughout project delivery. Perform fit/gap analysis on business requirements en route to system design and execution. NetSuite implementation: Configure core NetSuite financials and operational processes (e.g., record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash), including chart of accounts, subsidiaries, segments, roles, workflows, saved searches, and reporting, and support data migration activities. NSPB: Design and build multidimensional planning models, metadata structures, business rules, calculations, dashboards, and data integrations within NSPB. NSAR: Implement and configure NSAR to streamline and automate the financial close, including reconciliation profiles and formats, matching rules for transaction matching, auto-reconciliation methods, compliance workflows, preparer/reviewer assignments, and close reporting and dashboards. Develop and implement integrations between NetSuite, NSPB, and NSAR, including data mappings, transformation logic, and automation frameworks, ensuring consistent data structures across transactional, planning, and reconciliation processes. Assist in the development of technical architecture documentation, data flow diagrams, and integration frameworks to support customer requirements and overall business process discovery. Collaborate closely with in-house development and functional teams to implement custom solutions and develop clear, comprehensive design documents. Execute data integration activities between NetSuite, NSPB, NSAR, and other upstream/downstream systems when applicable. Act as a trusted advisor during client engagements by providing NetSuite, planning, and financial close best practices. Support user acceptance testing, training activities, and post-go-live stabilization efforts. Contribute to various internal MHI initiatives including solution accelerators, knowledge sharing, and ongoing NetSuite and EPM education. Continue developing product expertise across NetSuite, NSPB, and NSAR as required by customer engagements. This role may require flexibility in working hours, including nights and weekends, which may be necessary to meet project deadlines or address unforeseen circumstances during engagements. Limited travel is expected for this role and may vary based on client and project demands. Build client relationships: Establish and maintain strong client relationships across all project phases by managing expectations, addressing concerns proactively, and delivering outcomes that contribute to high client satisfaction and referenceable engagements. Your background 5-8+ years of relevant ERP, EPM, FP&A or financial close systems, or consulting experience. Undergraduate degree or MBA in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or relevant field. Strong background in finance/accounting, FP&A processes, consulting, and advisory services. Experience participating in solution design and implementation activities across varying project sizes and complexity. Hands-on NetSuite implementation experience required, including configuration of core financial processes and a strong understanding of NetSuite data structures, records, and saved searches/reporting. One or more end-to-end NSPB implementations with hands-on technical and functional experience; strong knowledge of multidimensional modeling, business rules, and planning frameworks. Experience implementing NSAR or Oracle EPM Account Reconciliation (ARCS) strongly preferred, including reconciliation compliance, transaction matching, and an understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes. Experience and knowledge of technical capabilities such as data integrations, REST APIs, SQL, Groovy scripting, SuiteScript familiarity, calculation optimization, and security design. Experience integrating NetSuite with NSPB and/or NSAR strongly preferred. NetSuite, NSPB, or Oracle EPM certifications a plus. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams end-to-end within a structured delivery environment, including tracking tasks and milestones, managing competing deadlines across products, and communicating status effectively — with experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies. Your career interests Desire to take ownership of key workstreams and complex solution areas spanning ERP, planning, and account reconciliation within project engagements. Continuous involvement in project delivery and client-facing consulting activities. Desire to further develop solution architecture and technical leadership skills while remaining hands-on with implementation work. Interest in contributing to thought leadership activities such as webinars, blog content, or conference participation that advance the firm's NetSuite and EPM practices and market presence.
