The role combines solution consulting, business and product analysis, technical understanding, stakeholder management, project management, and disciplined delivery thinking. Working across agency and client teams, Product, Engineering, Growth, Enablement, Training, Support and delivery colleagues, the consultant discovers needs, shapes requirements, designs and demonstrates solutions, supports scoping and implementation, and feeds learning back into reusable patterns and product improvements. Success means clients and WPP teams understand what is possible, requirements are clear before delivery starts, proven capabilities are configured appropriately, hand-offs are clean, and repeatable solutions can be deployed with less friction and faster time to value. Key responsibilities: Discovery & requirements: Lead structured discovery with agency, client and internal stakeholders to understand objectives, users, workflows, data, constraints and expected outcomes. Analyse current-state processes, usage and needs, separating problems to solve from requested features. Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, solution specifications and, where required, scope inputs for statements of work. Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks and gaps early, and ensure the right Product, Engineering, Enterprise Solutions or Professional Services owners are engaged. Solution design & consulting: Map business needs to proven, ready-to-deploy WPP Open capabilities and recommend an appropriate foundation or configured solution. Design and present solution options that explain the value, trade-offs, dependencies and delivery implications in language suited to technical and non-technical audiences. Create and deliver demonstrations that show how selected WPP Open capabilities address the defined use case. Support business-case and value-realisation thinking by linking the proposed solution to measurable client or operational outcomes. Technical & platform expertise: Build and maintain strong knowledge of WPP Open architecture, capabilities, agents, configuration options, data and integration touchpoints. Stay current on platform releases, capabilities and deployment guidance, and distinguish proven, scalable capabilities from functionality still in development or testing. Delivery partnership & quality: Partner with Project Managers, Product Analysts, Deployment Specialists, Configuration Admins and implementation teams from scope through go-live and handover. Ensure solution intent, requirements and acceptance criteria remain traceable through configuration, testing and delivery. Support UAT, solution validation and issue resolution, escalating material scope, quality or dependency risks through the appropriate delivery route. Contribute to clear handovers into Enablement, Training or Support where those teams own the next stage of adoption. Project management & delivery coordination: Develop and maintain clear delivery plans that define milestones, dependencies, ownership, decision points and critical path activities for assigned engagements. Coordinate day-to-day project activity across stakeholders, ensuring actions are tracked, blockers are surfaced early and progress remains visible to the right delivery and leadership audiences. Maintain disciplined RAID management, including proactive identification of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, with clear mitigation plans and escalation routes. Support governance routines such as status reporting, checkpoint reviews, decision logs and delivery readiness assessments, ensuring stakeholders have confidence in progress and next steps. Balance speed, scope and quality by making delivery trade-offs explicit, aligning expectations early and ensuring changes are assessed for impact before commitments are made. Drive clean closure by confirming acceptance criteria, documenting outcomes, capturing lessons learned and ensuring handover routes are agreed before the engagement is considered complete. Scale, product feedback & continuous improvement: Convert lessons from engagements into reusable solution patterns, templates, playbooks and configuration standards. Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering on recurring client needs, friction, feature gaps and opportunities for improvement. Help standardise intake and scoping so requests arrive with the information needed to route and estimate work accurately. Use delivery and usage evidence to identify opportunities to improve solution quality, reduce avoidable effort and accelerate time to value. Stakeholder relationships: Act as a credible, pragmatic bridge between business, product and technology stakeholders. Build trust through transparent recommendations, clear documentation, realistic commitments and proactive communication. Work collaboratively across WPP, maintaining client-team ownership of client relationships while providing the expertise needed to make good solution decisions. Skills & experience: 5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, business analysis, product analysis, implementation consulting or a comparable role, ideally within marketing technology or professional services. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience turning ambiguous business needs into structured, actionable requirements and solution options. Excellent written, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills, including the abil
