About the role
A little bit about us At Recycleye we are revolutionising Recycling. Our ground-breaking AI powers robots and optical sorters making waste sorting faster, cleaner and more profitable. With our advanced tech, the previously unsortable can now be sorted efficiently and effectively. Founded in 2019, we have grown rapidly ever since, with installations at leading waste management companies across Europe and the US. We are on a mission to help our clients produce higher quality outputs – turning the world’s waste into valuable resource. And our work has never been needed more. Worldwide only 9% of plastic waste is being recycled – every day, we are proud to work on making a meaningful difference towards a sustainable future. Be part of it – come and join us! Why choose to work at Recycleye? Our team works together to grow and succeed, driven by our shared values of empowerment, inclusivity, and perseverance. We offer great benefits (which we think punch above our weight), built-in upskilling and unlimited holiday (yes, really). We know that our mission will be achieved by having the most passionate, driven, talented, and all-around best people on our team. So come and shape the future and help turn trash into treasure! The opportunity We’re looking for a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to own how we buy, ship and pay for the components and equipment our Product Development and Production teams rely on. You’ll make sure we get the right products, at the right price, at the right time. That means managing day-to-day purchasing against our product BOM, building strong relationships with key suppliers, and coordinating shipments, imports and exports in line with international regulations. Alongside day-to-day purchasing, we’d like you to take a strategic approach to procurement. This includes sourcing and evaluating new suppliers, benchmarking prices, negotiating better terms, and improving our processes to reduce costs and lead times across our supply chain and shipping. You’ll also manage the purchasing side of accounts payable, working closely with our Finance Lead to raise purchase orders and make sure supplier invoices are accurate and processed on time. This is a hands-on role with real scope to shape our processes. It suits someone who enjoys both getting the detail of every order right and the bigger picture of building an efficient, cost-effective supply chain. Responsibilities Procurement & supplier management Order products in line with our product BOM and as requested by the wider team Work with the Product Development and Production teams to anticipate purchasing needs, and ensure products arrive on time and meet our quality requirements Track orders through to delivery and resolve any delays or issues Research, evaluate and onboard new suppliers Regularly benchmark suppliers and pricing, and identify alternative suppliers to reduce cost and supply risk Negotiate pricing, contract terms and supplier agreements Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers Improve our procurement processes as the organisation grows Keep accurate records of orders, contracts and supplier details Work with the Workshop Technicians to maintain an accurate stock system, so that the inventory levels are always up to date and records are audit-ready.
