Payroll Administrator (Part-Time)

BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. Since 2006, we've been building software in a space where accuracy and trust matter, and our team is growing across Alberta, BC, and Ontario. We are expanding our team and are looking to add a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator who will own payroll for our team members and help make our processes sharper as we grow. About the role: This role is focused on the accurate, on-time processing of payroll for our team members in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Alongside full-cycle payroll, you'll handle benefits administration and commission calculations, keep us compliant with federal and provincial requirements, and post payroll through to our accounting system. You'll also have room to improve how we work. We use ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Dynamics, and we want someone who will look at our existing workflows and help streamline them, not just keep them running. This is a part-time, hourly position of approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to set your own schedule. The key commitment is having payroll approved by Wednesday of each pay week. Beyond that, your hours can flex up or down with workload and capacity. This is an in-person role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office.
