Machine Setup Technician - 2nd Shift

Compensation: $22/Hr Job Summary: The purpose of this position is to ensure the safe , timely and efficient change of tooling related components for a manufacturing production line /machine changeover. Position is expected to support production in other wide-ranging areas including but not limited to overall line set up, machine operation, and adjustments throughout the production run. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure daily line die sets and tool changes are sufficient to meet production requirements. Review schedules and requirements for each production line. Communicate with prior and incoming Team Leader/Shift Manager on schedule/die set changeover status and known priorities. Notify shift lead of unplanned downtime or risk of not meeting schedule/order requirements. Coordinate line changes/die sets at shift start-up and changes for maximum effectiveness. Change out dies and associated components as needed for line/machine changeovers. M achine set-up after die change as needed. Production support as need ed , including but not limited to; Gripper install and adjustment, material adjustment, staging of changeover components, and machine operation . Die shop support as needed , including but not limited to ; t ransport and stag ing of tools to and from die shop , and clean ing of tools . Maintain all areas where equipment is being maintained to 6S standards. Work on other shifts for training purposes upon request. Report any unsafe acts or conditions. Must be able to attain and maintain forklift certification Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules Must be able to work extended hours when required All other duties as assigned Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate : High School, GED or equivalent 3 years maintenance experience 1 year manufacturing experience- press experience strongly preferred Hydraulic training strongly preferred Crane certification strongly preferred I.
