About the role
Heavy Equipment Mechanic Location: Chesterfield, VA Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Pay Range: $24.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience. Benefits: Paid Time Off and Paid Health Insurance Position Summary We are hiring a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company vehicles, trucks, heavy machinery, and other motorized equipment. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in diesel mechanics and heavy equipment repair. The mechanic will work closely with the Shop Foreman and other technicians to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently while minimizing downtime. Although this is primarily a shop-based position, occasional travel to other locations is required to assist with equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and service needs. Travel assignments are paid hourly, with overtime opportunities when applicable.
