Facilities Technician

Sioux Area Metro is South Dakota’s largest transportation provider. Our mission is to have a positive social and economic impact on the community by providing a safe and reliable transportation option for all who live, work, or play in Sioux Falls. As a Facilities Technician at SAM by Via, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of SAM’s properties. On the job training will be provided. What You’ll Do: Clean buses, bus shelters, and buildings Maintain buildings and grounds, including general yard work and light building maintenance skills Additional responsibilities will be shared during the interview Who You Are: Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing Hold a valid SD driver’s license Able to obtain a CDL permit Able to pass a pre-employment physical Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets At least 21 years old Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office Compensation and Benefits Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary: $21.12 - $23.47/hour depending on experience.
