About the role

About Nebius: Nebius is leading a new era in cloud infrastructure for the global AI economy. We are building a full-stack AI cloud platform that supports developers and enterprises from data and model training through to production deployment, without the cost and complexity of building large in-house AI/ML infrastructure. Built by engineers, for engineers. From large-scale GPU orchestration to inference optimization, we own the hard problems across compute, storage, networking and applied AI. Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D. About the role Duration: 3 months Start date: January 2027 Compensation: Paid Eligibility: Current University student (Computer Science or related field), Recent Graduate or Early Career specialist Work authorization: Permitted to work in the job's location Program Overview The Nebius IT Data Center Technician Early Talent program is a structured 3-month work experience designed to introduce early-career candidates to hands-on enterprise data center operations. Early talent participants are embedded on the data center floor as active team members alongside experienced DC Technicians and senior operations staff. Over the program, participants develop foundational technical skills, learn Nebius operational standards and safety procedures, and progress from fully supervised tasks toward working with increasing independence as their competency is demonstrated and validated. What You Will Do As an IT Data Center Technician Early Talent participant, you will work on the data center floor under the direct guidance of an experienced DC Technician. All hands-on work begins under close supervision. As you demonstrate proficiency and adherence to Nebius safety and operational standards, you will progressively take on tasks with greater independence — working toward completing assigned activities with minimal supervision by end of program. Hardware & Infrastructure Learn to identify, handle, and document server components, rack hardware, and data center equipment under direct technician supervision. Observe and assist with physical installation, cabling, and labeling of server hardware in rack enclosures under guidance. Assist with hardware inventory counts, asset tagging, and equipment tracking tasks as directed. Shadow and support technicians during component replacements, hardware decommissions, and equipment staging activities. Begin performing basic rack and stack tasks independently once foundational procedures have been trained and validated. Cabling & Connectivity Learn copper and fiber cabling standards, patch cord management, and labeling practices used at Nebius data center sites. Assist with cable organization, dressing, and documentation under direct technician guidance. Support connectivity checks and basic cable tracing tasks as assigned. Documentation & Ticketing Learn to use Nebius ticketing and asset management systems for logging work, updating hardware records, and tracking assigned tasks. Assist with documentation of equipment configurations, cable layouts, and maintenance activities under technician review. Begin entering and updating tickets independently for assigned work items once system proficiency is demonstrated. Safety & Operational Standards Complete all required Nebius data center safety training, site access procedures, and equipment handling certifications at program start. Follow all safety protocols, access controls, and site procedures at all times while on the data center floor. Never work unsupervised on live infrastructure or perform any task outside your validated scope without direct technician authorization. Observe and learn Nebius operational standards including shift handoff procedures, escalation practices, and incident documentation. Learning & Development Participate in structured weekly check-ins with your assigned DC Technician mentor to review skill progression and address questions. Complete assigned Nebius training modules covering hardware fundamentals, data center operations, and safety throughout the program. Shadow senior technicians during escalated incidents, complex deployments, and hardware troubleshooting activities to build technical awareness. Actively engage during shadowing activities and take initiative in building your technical knowledge base throughout the 3 months. Supervision & Progression Early talent participants begin under close, continuous supervision for all data center floor activities. This is not a desk-based or observation-only role — you are an active participant on the floor from day one. Progression follows a structured competency model: Weeks 1–3: Orientation and shadowing. All tasks under direct supervision with step-by-step guidance. Focus on safety, site familiarity, system access, and equipment identification. Weeks 4–7: Assisted execution. You perform assigned tasks with your mentor present and reviewing all completed work before sign-off. Weeks 8–10: Supervised independence. You complete defined tasks independently within your validated scope, checking in at key milestones. Technician remains nearby and available. Weeks 11–12: Demonstrated competency. Qualified participants work with minimal supervision on fully validated tasks; technician oversight maintained for any task outside established scope. Progression is based on demonstrated proficiency and adherence to Nebius standards — not time served. Participants who complete the program with strong evaluations will be considered for the Nebius early talent pipeline. Core Physical Requirements Ability to stand and remain on your feet for extended periods during active floor operations. Abili
