About the role

The Company You’ll Join: Founded in 2016 to bring rigorous research and analytics to early careers and recruiting leaders, Veris Insights has grown to serve thousands of Heads of Talent, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Early Careers from over 300 Fortune 500 organizations. Our team of 80+, including researchers, consultants, PhDs, analysts, and executive service directors, work daily to help members understand, deliberate, and solve their hardest challenges. The Team You’ll Join: You'll join our existing Entry Talent Accelerator (ETA) cohort, a high-performance program designed for ambitious individuals looking to accelerate their careers in client-facing and revenue-generating roles. As a Business Development Analyst, you'll work directly with senior Talent Acquisition and University Recruiting leaders, using research and market insights to spark conversations, build relationships, and generate new business opportunities. Along the way, you'll develop the executive presence, advisory skills, and business acumen to prepare you for future client facing roles at Veris Insights. This is a full time opportunity beginning in January or February 2027. What You'll Do: This is an outbound business development role built around frequent communication, strategic prospecting, and measurable results. You'll spend a significant portion of your day reaching out to senior leaders by phone, email, and LinkedIn, using timely research and thoughtful messaging to start conversations and generate interest in our work. The strongest analysts learn to identify promising opportunities, experiment with messaging, interpret performance data, and continuously improve their approach. They take ownership of their results, using data, coaching, and collaboration to get better. How You’ll Grow: The ETA Program is a structured, 12-18 month development program that combines hands on experience with dedicated mentorship, regular coaching, and exposure to senior leadership. You'll build your skills through real conversations, practice, feedback, and increasing ownership of your work. Through the program, you will develop: Public Speaking & Executive Presence: Build confidence and fluency in high-pressure communication environments through coaching, repetition, and real-time feedback. Consultative Advisory Skills: Learn how to identify executive priorities, build credibility quickly, and guide strategic conversations with senior leaders. Negotiation & Influence: Develop the ability to navigate high-stakes conversations with confidence, professionalism, and strong interpersonal judgement. Data Interpretation & Insight Delivery: Learn how to quickly interpret research and data to support real-time, insight-driven advisory conversations. You'll also collaborate with your cohort on growth initiatives, with opportunities to present your ideas and recommendations to senior leadership. Progression through the program is based on individual performance against defined milestones, with future placement determined by business needs at the time. Your Character: Incisiveness. You quickly identify priorities, connect ideas, and thoughtfully diagnose challenges. Executive Presence. You communicate with confidence, professionalism, warmth, and credibility across a wide range of audiences. Results Orientation. You are motivated by performance, growth, accountability, and continuous improvement. Intellectual Curiosity. You enjoy learning quickly, asking thoughtful questions, and building expertise in complex topics. Empathy & Service Orientation. You genuinely care about the people you work with and strive to build trust in every interaction.
