Where You'll Come in: As our Accounting Specialist, you'll be the steady hand behind our day to day accounting. You have a solid grasp of bookkeeping and financial statements, a sharp eye for detail and the people skills to work well with teammates, vendors and customers. You stay organized and calm while juggling multiple tasks and deadlines. How You'll Make An Impact: Handle daily accounting tasks including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations. Review customer credit memo requests tied to trade spend activity. Process vendor invoices by matching them to purchase orders, confirming pricing and quantities and coding expenses to the right accounts. Complete new customer credit applications and monitor the credit of key partners. Review and process employee expense reports. Make sure customer invoicing via EDI is complete and process customer invoices when needed. Monitor A/R and A/P balances, send customer statements and apply cash receipts. Manage banking and payments, including payment templates and wires. Keep company files and records organized, backed up and easy to find. Support month end close and year end audit preparation. Take on ad hoc reconciliations and analysis as needed. Pitch in on other administrative duties that support a growing business. We're Genuinely Excited About You Because: You have 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar accounting role, or 1 to 2 years of experience plus a university degree in Accounting. You have excellent soft skills and enjoy working with others. You have a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals. You're strong in Excel and Outlook. Pursuing your CPA is an asset. Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system is an asset. You’re comfortable using AI tools to analyze data and spot process improvements and you like finding faster, cleaner ways to get work done.
